Blister Packs

Blister packaging is a highly popular type of packaging for pills and pharmaceuticals. In blister packaging, a clear, pre-formed "blister" made of a thermoplastic material like PVC or PET is sealed to a backing material that is typically made of paper or aluminum. This allows for display of the contents in the packaging and reduces tampering by allowing consumers to see what's inside. Adhesives for manufacturing blister packaging must adhere well to paper or aluminum, have a low activation temperature, and form peelable bonds when heat sealed to PVC or PET.
