High Running Solids

Running solids refers to the percent solids the adhesive or coating is applied at. Products may be supplied "run ready" but often are supplied at a higher solids then diluted to desired run viscosity. Products offering higher running solids often allow for easier drying since there is less volatile material to evaporate thus faster run speeds. In addition higher running solids means that for a target dry coating weight less wet material needs to be applied to achieve this target weight which improves the product's economics.
