ADCOTE™ 89R3
Adcote™ 89R3, a solvent based, one-component adhesive for laminating film (particularly polyester) to glass, It is a more rapidly adherent version of Adcote™ 89R1T.
The material finds particular use in solar control film applications.
Features & Benefits
Coated at 1/3 - 1/4 of the thickness of typical pressure sensitive adhesives, it offers better optical properties.The surface is non-tacky with the application of water and allows the user the freedom to reapply the film should an inadvertent defect appear in the adhered film. Being partially thermosetting in properties, it is free from heat deformation problems; i.e., tunneling. Additionally, it has excellent resistance to high humidity conditions assuring that the bond to glass remainsunaffected. Bond formation is dependent on the temperature of the glass and can begin in 30 minutes or less. Bond values reach approximately 1000 gm/inch. A polypropylene release liner is customarily employed.
