ADCOTE™ 518

Adcote™ 518 is the isocyanate-terminated polyester urethane component of a two-component adhesive system which requires the use of coreactant T8384 to achieve full properties. Adcote™ 518 adhesive provides high bond strength and a high level of heat and chemical resistance.

Adcote™ 518/T-8384 can be used in retortable structures to laminate polyester to foil, or nylon to foil. The adhesive layer must be separated from the food product by a functional barrier.

Adcote™ 518/T-8384 can be used for laminations where high chemical resistance from foods and chemicals is required. Adcote™ 518/T-8384 can also be used as an in-line primer for extrusion laminating and coating, where enhanced adhesion and heat resistance is needed.
